Renneberg – Walker Engineering Associates Ltd. (Renneberg –
Walker) is a leading forensic accident investigation firm. Renneberg –
Walker has been providing forensic services to the insurance and legal
communities since 1979. Renneberg – Walker has conducted investigations
throughout western Canada, the Territories, United States, and Mexico.
After working for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in the capacity of
a forensic accident reconstructionist and trainer for 16 years, J. Dwain
Friesen joined Renneberg – Walker in 1995. Observing the need for
accident investigation training for the general public, the Canadian Traffic
Education Centre was formed in 1998. The forensic division of CTEC continues
to offer accident investigation courses to the public and the law enforcement
communities. CTEC is the prime provider of such services to law enforcement
personnel in Canada.
In addition to J. Dwain Friesen, Renneberg – Walker staff also includes
another retired police reconstructionist and two professional engineers.
Renneberg - Walker staff has in excess of a century of experience investigating
accidents. All staff have been recognized as experts in various Courts.
With unparalleled experience in the vehicle dynamics and human behaviour
the CTEC Advanced Driver Training division was started in 1999.
CTEC was the first in western Canada to make a skid platform available
to the public. More recently CTEC’s acquisition of a state-of-the-art
driving simulator makes CTEC unmatched in resources.
CTEC is not only licenced by the Province of Alberta as an Advanced Driving
School but also the only school licenced to train advanced driver trainers.
